How To Get Involved

For The Good LogoAt For The Good, we believe the most vulnerable families in our communities deserve to be seen, supported, and carried through their hardest seasons.

Right now, we are urgently seeking help for a local family facing overwhelming medical and financial hardship.

Kari is a single mother who has devoted her life to caring for children with extraordinary needs. Over the years, she has lovingly adopted six special needs children, ranging in age from 2 to 20 years old. Each child faces significant medical and developmental challenges, including:

  • Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome
  • Autism
  • Seizure Disorders
  • Developmental Delays
  • ADHD
  • and other serious health conditions

Kari’s daily life has been a constant commitment to therapies, specialist visits, medication schedules, and round-the-clock care. She has never stopped fighting for her children.

Now, Kari is fighting for herself.

She has recently been diagnosed with oral squamous cell carcinoma, a serious and aggressive form of cancer. Her treatment requires urgent medical care and medications — but she is currently unable to afford the prescriptions needed to move forward.

As if the emotional weight of this diagnosis wasn’t enough, the financial burden has become devastating.

This quarter, For The Good is raising funds and awareness to support families like Kari’s—families who are doing everything they can, but still falling behind under the weight of extreme medical needs.

How You Can Help

This family has immediate needs including:

Medical Support

  • Cancer-related prescriptions and treatment costs
  • Medications for multiple children
  • Therapy and specialist copays
  • Transportation to medical appointments

Household Support

  • Groceries and basic household supplies
  • Utility assistance
  • Hygiene items and cleaning supplies
  • Support with essential home needs for six children

Even the smallest gift can make a real difference.

Our Goal

We are seeking compassionate donors and community partners willing to step in and help relieve the burden so Kari can focus on what matters most: surviving cancer and continuing to care for her children.

If you feel led to support this family, please consider donating, sharing this message, or connecting us with anyone who may be able to help.

Together, we can remind Kari and her children that they are not alone.

To give or to get involved, please contact us directly or donate through For The Good.
Every act of kindness matters.

With gratitude,

Addiction Recovery Outreach

Restoring Lives. Rebuilding Futures.

At For The Good, we believe that every life is worth restoring—and that recovery is not just possible, but powerful when compassion meets action.

This quarter, our outreach is dedicated to addiction recovery in our local community. Behind every addiction is a story—of pain, loss, trauma, or unmet need. But behind every recovery is something even greater: hope, dignity, and a second chance.

Our Mission This Quarter

We are raising funds to provide fully sponsored 30–60 day residential rehabilitation opportunities for individuals who are ready to begin their journey to recovery—but lack the financial means to do so.

These programs offer:

  • Safe, structured environments for healing
  • Medical and therapeutic support
  • Counseling and mental health services
  • Life skills and relapse prevention training
  • A path back to family, work, and purpose

Why This Matters

Addiction does not discriminate. It affects mothers, fathers, veterans, young adults, and neighbors we pass every day. Yet access to quality rehabilitation is often limited to those who can afford it.

Without intervention:

  • Recovery is delayed or never begins
  • Families continue to suffer
  • Communities bear the long-term impact

With your support:

  • Lives are saved
  • Families are restored
  • Cycles of addiction are broken

Our Goal

We aim to fund 30 to 60 day treatment placements for individuals in need—giving them not just sobriety, but a real chance at transformation.

Each sponsorship represents more than treatment.
It represents:

  • A fresh start
  • A renewed sense of worth
  • A future filled with possibility

How You Can Help

Your generosity can directly change a life.

Ways to give:

  • Sponsor a full 30–60 day recovery program
  • Contribute toward a partial sponsorship
  • Partner with us as a community advocate

Every dollar moves someone closer to recovery.

A Message of Hope

At For The Good, we don’t just support causes—we invest in people.
We stand in the gap for those who are ready to rise but need a hand to get there.

Together, we can turn struggle into strength…
and addiction into recovery.
